Jim Bergquist

Jim enjoys a distinguished career as an executive coach, meeting facilitator, trainer and public speaker. His career began as a classically trained musician and performer. Keenly interested in the practical applications of human creativity, he became engaged in the possibility of ending global poverty.

Jim worked with The Hunger Project, a United Nations non-profit NGO committed to eliminating hunger and malnutrition world-wide. As a Hunger Project leader, volunteer coordinator and coach, his experience in empowering people from different cultures, to create positive change, led to his forming a consulting firm. Jim founded Creative Business Futures, Inc. (bizFutures), a consulting firm, in 1983. bizFutures specializes in “cultural transformation”.

Jim is expert at coaching leaders in generating breakthroughs. bizFutures use a methodology known as The Extraordinary Technology of Being™ (XToB™), designed for unleashing employee creativity, productivity and enhancing overall team effectiveness. A series of best selling training videos and books about one of Jim’s long-time clients has documented his innovative approach for bringing about cultural transformation.

In 1986, Jim began coaching the fishmongers at the now famous Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle, Washington. He coached them in developing an empowering company culture and in fulfilling their vision to be “world famous in a way that makes a difference for people.

Using its unique methodology,bizFutures has produced amazing results with companies in industries as far ranging as retail, hospitality, traffic management, computers, aircraft, manufacturing, banking and finance, government, military, healthcare, education and energy. In each case, the focus is on management by inspiration and empowerment (coaching) versus the older management model of command and control.

Connie Ekelund

This Globetrotting CEO owns Fusion Publishing Media and is a Management Consultant with a niche in Organizational Development and Marketing. She is the founder of a non-profit and is a director on other non-profit boards. Connie is the essence of an entrepreneur and life-long learner. She has a formal education in Business Management and Marketing, as well as a Degree in Fashion Design. She thrives on experiential and transformational learning, working with Global Thought Leaders to create organizational and cultural changes while seizing every opportunity for growth and development.

Connie’s passion is what drives her serial addiction to entrepreneurial activities. For 25 years she has channeled her creativity and imagination into a successful career. Her ability to create corporations from the ground up, in a myriad of industrial sectors including; construction, fashion, non-profit and publishing; is a testament to her big picture thinking and strong business acumen. She has a broad understanding of not only corporate structure and operations, but also that of private, public, franchise and union organizations, as well as non-profits and social enterprises. Her consistency in visualizing and seizing opportunities ahead of the competition has allowed her to achieve measurable results and maximize outcomes.

‘Good Life Connoisseur’ and ‘Report On Mining’ magazines are Connie’s most recent projects of passion. These award winning magazines have given her an inside view of the ever-changing world of media and allowed her inner–geek to flourish, embracing new technologies. The magazines have afforded her the gift of world-wide travel, resulting in her being an internationally awarded travel photographer.

Connie is privileged to spend a large portion of her time coaching and mentoring Executives, Entrepreneurs and Boards so that they can powerfully create and make a difference in the world. She calls this “her guilty pleasure”
